I wish to volunteer to help with the shelters in the Costa Blanca. I was a prison Governor for 20 years and have worked with both the victims and perpertrators of domestic violence as well as being a victim myself. I was trained in counselling for violent offenders and sex offenders and feel I can be of some use to those who need it now.
- About You / Married or Single? How long living in Spain? Kids? Pets? Favourite Hobbies?
- I am married and have lived in Spain for the past 9 years. My family are spread over the globe with one of my sons in Canada and one of my husbands daughters in Sydney. My two other children and my four grandchildren live in the Manchester area and Harry's other daughter lives in London.
Both myself and my husband spend a great deal of time playing tennis and travelling. We have recently come back from our second trip around the world. We have to keep going to Australia or we wouldn't see our grandchildren there.
I have spent many years raising money for numerous charities but mainly for Dreamflight and Children in Need. At least my Prison Service experience taught me organisational skills.
Sadly we have no pets since our old cat of 17 years dies last year. We will have two German Shephers dogs when we stop the travelling.

- I am a trained counsellor. A touch typist but have no artistic talents whatsoever. A good public speaker and reasonably computer literate.
My husband is a writer for TV and screen and recently completed a novel so although I am not the writer, I can write articles and papers.
Sadly, my Spanish is not up to much but my English is extremely good.

Fun Quiz Every Thursday
Hi Ladies,
As you know I don't have a proper job but I do a quiz every Thursday night at Quo Vadis Bar in Javea. It starts at 8.30pm and is 5 Euros each. Teams of up to six people are allowed and there are six rounds of ten questions plus a silly round each week.
Quo Vadis is at the back of the Club de Tenis, in front of the campsite and next to Karting Javea. Coming from Javea towards Cap de la Nao, turn right at the lights by Cam bank, second on the left and go straight to the bottom of the ro… Continue
