I need quotes for an article I am researching and writing - about women entrepreneurs and the recession? Try and answer the following question...

Do you feel that women have "natural" solutions that help them to economise during this recession? If so - what do you think they are???

Thank you in advance from karla

Tenacity is a gift women have by nature. Determination to find the best solution the easiest and most straightforward way. A longing to be successful is sometimes the motivation.

The resilience of women amazes me! Women have a natural desire to protect and create- not only their children but their "nests "/homes. Women can take the most basic of ingredients even in lean times and turn them into meals for their loved ones. There is an 'entrepreneur' in all women whether they define it as that or not!

Women naturally have the need to nuture and will always find a way of feeding themselves and, more importantly, those they love. The war years are a good example and makes the current recession fade into insignificance imagining what the women had to cope with at that time.
Natural solutions are finding the cheapest and most nutricious ingredients; buying clothes in Charity Shops; giving children food to take to school instead of money; walking and cycling in place of driving.

Good morning Karla
Try to answer your question.... Yes, I think we women are more patient. Lots of men just give up when things are not going the way they want. I heard it from several people that they would never go on with a business like I have. We are seeing things less serious. This does not mean we are ignoring difficult situations. We just have more confident into life.
Hope this helps you a bit.
I am working on my website... It is tiering...

Have a successful week.

Hi Karla, You set me thinking.... I just had another thought which I think is relevant.

Recession is a 'man's word'. I think that Women in Business adapt themselves to the market. You are a prime example. Women can look at their skills and where they fit in with the current business needs and go for it. We have to move with the times....

Hi Karla,

It depends what you mean by "natural". In my opinion women are incredibly resilient, adaptable, resourceful people who naturally have the ability to make what they have fit their needs. Most of us at sometime in our lives have had to face hard times and have come through them successfully. Women are natural networkers and are mostly willing to help and support each other in any way possible, this is one of our greatest strengths in tough times. We are also good team workers and prefer to work in harmony and seek positive solutions for the benefit of all concerned, these qualities are priceless in times of real need. In a crisis women will unite and demonstrate their strength in numbers, I have never known a woman in my circle of family, friends and colleagues weaken in the face of adversity.

I hope this helps,
Amanda.

The ability to cook and look after the people they care about without having to spend a fortune. Women are more adaptable and stronger in a stressful situation, they accept they cannot always walk away. Stronger!!
