WIBC-SPAIN

There were eight members present and a potential member. The venue was good if a little noisy at one point when there were a party of guys in the bar.

Linda Stevens from Buena Vista Villas told us about how her business developed into building cabanas and that the business was currently going well.

Tamsin is now offering a free consultation for 3 or more people to promote her current range of beauty products.

Karla was very excited about a new range of chemical free products she and her husband have helped develop with a local chemist. These are made with all natural green products and aloe vera grown in the Canary Islands. They have a gel and a cream available at the moment and they are in pharmacies and supermarkets already.

Elisa Mayhofer was looking for more singing bookings and brought along a friend of hers who, although she could not speak much English was able to understand most of what went on. She is a possible future member of WIBC. She is promoting a health drink with anti oxidants and will be bringing this over from Germany soon.

Tricia from Nu Skin was also there and is looking for potential sales staff who wish to earn extra money selling her products. She is having a meeting on Saturday at Las Brisas should anyone wish to attend.

Jolanta Schilling from Denia was there to promote her photographic business and Sue Coley endorsed her work done at weddings she has arranged.

Sue Coley was explaining that although business had been slow at the beginning of the year, she was now extremely busy with late bookings.

Chris Duffin chaired the meeting and passed on some of the more important points made at the committee meeting. The two stressed were the need for items for the shelter and a need for volunteers for the next exhibition.

Suggestions were made for the Christmas BBQ. We thought the venue might be the Mediteranean Café and a Quiz during the evening,
There was a general feeling that the press releases needed to be back to their usual level to promote the organisation and it was explained that the press secretary had been very ill and the meeting sent their best wishes for a speedy recovery.
The group was told about the letter of congratulations to the Consulate and the request for her to become a patron and Carle mentioned that the Spanish Defence Secretary was a woman and maybe she should also be asked.

The meeting on the 9th September was flagged up and the importance of volunteers for White Ribbon Day.

Hello Chris,
I may have been sleeping during the meeting, but in my opinion I was there too, and Karla was not.
Perhaps you mixed up with another meeting?
regards,
Marja

Sorry, I think I have just mistyped the name. You are right, you were there and Karla was not. I will re read the notes and alter them. Once again, my apologies. I have been doing so many minutes with WRD coming up, I guess my brain is a bit scrambled.
