Meeting
November 25, White Ribbon Day, is three short weeks away and we are all looking forward to it. Everythingis going smoothly. Val and Lesley have been busy taking money for stands and new membership. However, it is really important that you still put all your details on the Website. You MUST include your WRD09 receipt number or you will not be given a stand.
Set up is from 8am on Nov 25 with doors open at 10am. You can set up the day before, Nov 24, from noon until 8pm when one of the WRD committee will stay until security locks the exhibition room. However, for your own peace of mind don’t leave expensive products out. You can certainly leave leaflets and put up banners but the rest is at your own risk. If you get to the hotel by 8am, two hours should be long enough to display your valuables. As Lesley reminded us, you can take your car into the loading bay of the hotel, unload, then park your car, there should be enough of us around to look after each others goods until you return to take them upstairs.
A gentle reminder – All stallholders are asked to donate a prize for the tombolla AND get one from one of their suppliers. Part of our charter states that if you don’t bring a prize you must pay 10 euros which naturally goes into the refuge funds.
The new WIBC pens at 1 euro, new badges at 2 euros and white ribbons (donation) will be available at reception.
It looks likely that we have two Mrs Santas, Lisa has volunteered and Chris is hoping a friend of hers will also do it. We need one more, as these ladies must have coffee, lunch and comfort breaks. REMEMBER Mrs Santa is there to collect presents for the children and their mothers so if you have anything that you haven’t opened, that gift you have received and never used, bring it along, unwrapped.
Tamsin has good offers for Christmas presents. She is looking for party hosts and new agents. So if you want to make some money for Christmas contact Tamsin
Santos reminded us that she always offers discounts on her marble to WIBC members. So if you need new flooring, counter tops or anything in marble, contact Santos.
Terry is doing a special price to WIBC members for roll up signs. She also has some small ones that can sit on the stands and not be intrusive or invasive to other stands. If you want a small one for WRD you will have to contact her very soon with the artwork
Maureen at EasyBuy showed us the Trust in Traders booklet she has published. All the traders are tried and trusted there is also a website.
